Defense Industry: Research Facilities Gain Accountability and Ensure Life Safety
Over 60 years ago, at the height of the Cold War, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory was founded to keep our nation safe and advance nuclear technology forward. It is thanks to their efforts that we are here today and are able to do what we do best.
Historically, “personnel accountability was handled in a single location: a marker board in each facility,” says Robert Hazy, Process Control Engineer at LLNL. “We needed to be able to account for personnel working in multiple locations with multiple entry points.”
With a new visitor management system, custom status boards, and mobile muster stations, they are now able to ensure that nobody slips through the cracks and everyone in their facilities can be accounted for at any time.
