Now Available: Savance Workplace Apps for Microsoft 365 and Outlook
Savance Workplace is now available inside Microsoft 365 and the new Outlook, giving employees access to workplace information and visitor tools from applications many organizations already use.
The new experience includes two Savance Workplace apps designed for different tasks:
- The Savance Workplace app gives employees access to workplace information such as the Electronic In Out Board, status information, and reports.
- The Visitor Management Outlook Add-In lets employees pre-register visitors while scheduling meetings in the new Outlook.
Access Savance Workplace From Microsoft 365, Teams, and Outlook
The Savance Workplace app brings familiar workplace tools into Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, the new Outlook, and Outlook on the web.
Employees can access information such as the Electronic In Out Board, workplace status information, and reports without opening Savance Workplace in a separate browser window. This makes it easier to check who is available, review workplace information, and keep current or future status information up to date as part of the normal workday.
For organizations, giving employees access to Savance Workplace from tools they already use can also reduce the friction involved in keeping presence and availability information current.
Pre-Register Visitors While Scheduling a Meeting
The Visitor Management Outlook Add-In serves a different purpose: bringing visitor registration directly into meeting scheduling.When creating a calendar invitation in the new Outlook, employees can open Savance Visitor Management and register guests from the same screen, instead of scheduling the meeting first and remembering to register visitors later.
That creates a smoother handoff from meeting scheduling to the front desk: reception and security teams can have the visitor’s information before arrival, and the guest arrives to a process that is already expecting them.
What You Can Do With the Microsoft 365 and Outlook Apps
The two apps serve different needs, but both make Savance Workplace easier to use within the Microsoft 365 environment. Depending on which app or add-in your organization uses, employees can:
- View the Electronic In Out Board and workplace status information
- Update current or future status information
- Access Savance Workplace reports
- Open Savance Workplace from Microsoft Teams, the new Outlook, or Outlook on the web
- Pre-register visitors while creating a calendar event in the new Outlook
These apps give employees another way to use Savance Workplace alongside the browser experience, mobile app, kiosks, and other interfaces.
The Classic Outlook Add-In Remains Available
Organizations using the Classic Outlook Add-In can continue using it with supported versions of Classic Outlook.
The newer Savance Workplace apps are designed for Microsoft 365 and the new Outlook, allowing organizations to adopt them based on their Microsoft environment and deployment plans. This distinction is important because Classic Outlook and the new Outlook use different add-in technologies and experiences.
Get Started With the Microsoft 365 and Outlook Apps
For teams that already spend much of the day in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, and the new Outlook, these apps make it easier to use Savance Workplace as part of their existing workflow. Employees can stay connected to workplace information and prepare for visitors without moving between separate systems.
