The Design Process
Savance Workplace will work with your logo, branding, and color scheme to come up with a design that matches your company. It is our belief that your software and hardware solution from Savance — most importantly, a customer- or visitor-facing solution — should have a look that fits your company, not ours. Read on for more details on the design process.
Process Summary
Design Questionnaire
In addition to the information collected during meetings, we ask that you fill out a Design Questionnaire. This is seen as the official starting point of the design process, and includes the collection of logos and potential branding guidelines.
Pick Sample Favorites
Before design work gets started, we also ask that you look over the samples linked to from this page, and let us know if any stand out to you. This will help us get to a final design much more quickly since we’ll already have an idea of what you have in mind.
Choose a Winner
You will generally receive 1-3 concept designs for each customizable component of your Savance Workplace solution. Already see a winner? Great! If not, let us know your thoughts, and we’ll make modifications to get the design just right.
Implementation
Once we have reached a final design for all components of your Savance Workplace system, your designer will provide the Implementation team with all the information they need to turn the concept design into reality.
Visitor Management Kiosk Design
In most cases, a dedicated designer will put together 2-3 designs for your main kiosk screen. At this point, you have the opportunity to make a decision right away, or to provide feedback to get the design just right if it’s not quite there yet.
Custom Status Board Design
Savance Workplace’s Status Board solution is a custom-design large-screen digital signage solution created to display critical information viewable at a glance. We will collect all the required information to understand what information you would like to display, whether the status board will be static or dynamic, and if you have a particular style in mind, and then create one or a few initial mockups based on the provided information.

When it comes to the design process, the level of customer involvement depends entirely on the organization in question.

Customer Spotlight
Although most customers prefer a lower initial input level, Glenaire, whose kiosk can be seen here, looked over our visitor kiosk design samples, and put together a drawing of what they had in mind. A Savance designer put together a few concepts and suggested some minor improvements. Since then, the kiosk has also been updated to include QR code sign-out.
Customizable Add-Ons
Custom Kiosk Stand Design
Our most popular self check-in kiosk setup for visitors/staff is the Podium Kiosk, a sleek, yet heavy-duty free-standing kiosk that fits our 22″ touch screens. The stand is also sometimes used for interactive status boards. Once the main kiosk screen has been completed, we will provide design customization/custom branding for a magnetic decal to cover the front of the kiosk. This process follows a similar design and approval process.
Custom Label & Badge Design
Common add-ons to our Podium Kiosks for visitor/staff/contractor management are label printers and badge readers, and we are happy to help create custom labels and badges based on your requirements and branding.

Savance is committed to our customers before, during, and after each sale, and want you to be a partner and a friend for years to come. To get an idea of how we normally work with customers —from first contact to product implementation and beyond— here is a simplified version of our general process.
Consultation
We meet with you through a web-based consultation/free demo session, where we present our solutions, as well as make sure we know exactly what your organization needs, and any problems you are looking to solve.
Design
The design process includes anything from modifying the look of a solution to fit your branding, to designing the look and layout of a fully custom solution, to coming up with a complete solution strategy and layout for a multi-location business.
Development
Once any custom designs, plans, and layouts have been approved by you, our engineers step in and do their magic, turning these designs, plans, and layouts into fully functional solutions for your organization.
Training & Support
As part of the implementation phase, we provide end-user training to make sure you can confidently operate your Savance system on your own. Following training, you will be transitioned to the Support team, with the knowledge that we're always there to help when you need us.
