When I test my EIOBoard Connection, I get “The request failed with HTTP status 407: Proxy Authentication Required”

Clients

If your application, kiosk, or Outlook Add-in gives an error about “Proxy Authentication Required”, you need to make sure that you add www.eioboard.com or your server address if you are customer-hosted to your list of “safe sites” on your router or proxy server so your proxy no longer requires users to authenticate to access the site.  Once you get this changed, the Test Connection button should return successful.

Server Install

If you run into this during an installation, it most likely means the device cannot reach the Savance validation service to check the install key.

In order for the installation to complete, your install key will need to be able to validate with our licensing service. After the install is complete, no external connections are needed, and during the install only a connection to our validation service is needed. The server will need to be able to connect to “http://eioboard.com/validationservice/validationservice.asmx” to validate the license key.

Active Directory

Using EIOBoard with Windows Authentication must consider effective Privileged Access Management (PAM) policies at the client, web application server, and domain levels. Otherwise, any website could impersonate the AD DS user through some form of credential theft. In most cases, the domain explicitly delegates trust between the web application server and workstations.
