The most common cause for your name showing up twice in EIOBoard is that when you originally signed up for the account you used your name, but a username that is different from your Windows username. Next you either imported users from an Excel spreadsheet or did an AD Sync (Customer-Hosted users only) and your name was added again but with your Windows username (which is different from the username you signed up for the EIOBoard account with).
When users are added into EIOBoard from an import we check for an existing username, not contact name, and since the username did not exist the same name was added twice but with different usernames.
To resolve this you first need to login with the username and password that you originally signed up for the EIOBoard account with. Next go into the Administrator which should open to the Users tab by default. Find the user in the list that matches your Windows username, then check “EB Admin” in the Security Groups list on the right side of the Administrator.
Customer-Hosted users should also check “EB Master Admin” in the Security Groups pane for their username.
Next you can log off of EIOBoard from the account you originally signed up with and login with your Windows username. If you are a Customer-Hosted user and imported users into EIOBoard using the AD Sync tool then by default your password will be the same as your username, since you cannot extract passwords from Active Directory. Now that you are logged in to EIOBoard with your Windows username which has been granted Administrator rights you should be able to go into the Administrator again and disable the account you originally signed up for with the duplicate contact name.
Please note that you cannot disable a user when you are currently logged in with that username, just like you cannot remove EB Admin rights for a user when you are logged in with that username.
